Kiona seeks to prevent all unnecessary greenhouse gas emissions from buildings

Kiona’s business model is to reduce the customers’ climate impact and energy costs in buildings. The company, with the previous name eGain, creates value for its customers and owners through innovative, digital platforms for energy optimization. Ceder Capital is a proud past owner of Kiona, which tackles one of the most important matters of our time; reducing climate impact.

Energy optimization through AI and innovative efficiency

Buildings account for almost 40% of annual global greenhouse gas emissions, from construction to daily operations. As a leading SaaS company in energy optimization, Kiona has the opportunity to make a difference in the fight against climate change.

Kiona’s vision is to stop all unnecessary energy use and carbon dioxide emissions in buildings by providing its customers with the information they need to optimize energy use and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

We are committed to creating the most innovative technology platform to achieve energy and resource efficiency

We help our customers make a difference

Reduce climate impact

Kiona and Victoriahem have worked together on energy and environmental optimization for several years. And the work has paid off. More precisely, an emission reduction of approximately 1,600 tons of CO2 each year in approximately 28,000 apartments.

Reduces food waste

Kiona’s energy optimization solutions also make it possible to reduce food waste by monitoring the temperature of cooling systems. Matsentralen is a network that facilitates the redistribution of excess food from the food industry to non-profit organizations. Every month, Matsentralen distributes 40,000 meals to people in need. The goal is to create a sustainable food system. Kiona helps Matsentralen pro bono.

Energy efficiency in historic buildings

Polish State Railways is one of Poland’s largest property owners. They own over 3,000 beautiful, old buildings, which have been listed for preservation. The Polish State Railways’ 16,000 square meter headquarter is one of these buildings. Due to its historical nature, the heating system cannot be modernized. Kiona has helped to estimate the exact amount of energy required to maintain the desired temperature, which has reduced the required energy.

We see it as our mission to make the world a little bit better than it is today
